Youth indoor track meet at IPFW on Friday, January 27 --- DETAILS here
FORT WAYNE - Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne is hosting a youth indoor meet on the university's new 6/8-lane, 200-meter mondo track at the Hilliard Gates Sportscenter on Friday, January 27.
The meet is open to any athlete 18 years old or younger.
Events range from 55 meters to 3200 meters and include a 4x400 meter relay.
Cost is only $5 per event and $20 for the relay, payable at check-in. |

We had six cardegles run the Callithumpian Canter on Sunday. Abby placed 2nd, Megan 3rd, Bryson 2nd, Anthony 3th, Zach 5th, and Patrick 7th in their age divisions. Results are here.

Cardegle Cross Country Awards Banquet

All runners and their families are invited.

Please bring a dish to share that would serve 12 people:

8th graders – side dish (potato casserole, salad, vegetable, fruit, etc.)
-
6th and 7th graders – hot main dish (lasagna, beef-n-noodles, spaghetti, etc.)
-
5th graders – dessert (cake, cookies, brownies, etc.)
-
Lemonade and ice water will be provided.
Don’t forget to bring your cleaned uniform and borrowed spikes to turn in to the coaches!

- 5:00pm 4th-6th grade boys and girls race
- 5:40pm 7th-8th grade boys and girls race
- Awards immediately following races
Awards: top three runners in each race will receive medals, runners 4-15 will receive individual ribbons. Trophies to 1st and 2nd place teams. There will be a total of 15 individual awards for:
4-6 girls
4-6 boys
7-8 girls
7-8 boys
Team scores for boys and girls will be added together for the trophies.

Congratulations to Caroline McMasters for making it on the top 15 Cardegle runner list and to those who made the top 30 in todays meet; Abby Brelage, Megan Brelage, Caronline McMasters, Rachel Gibson, Maria Wellman, Christina Mercedes, Bryson Tretter, Blake Malone. Great race everybody.
We have a new tool which I hope you will find usefull. On the Tips & Tools page we have added CompareIt, it's a simple tool that can display two cardegle pages side by side so you can make time comparisons from two different races at the same time.

Excellent times everyone, we had many PR's today. We also have new additions to the top time list. Blake Malone jumped up to our 3rd all time best runner, Bryson Tretter moved up to our 6th, Abby Brelage moved up to the 4th best, and Megan Brelage improved her time on the list.

Meet information for Saturday the 17th
Varsity (7 boys/7 girls) be at the West Noble High School/ Middle School campus. MS Girls Varsity 9:30, MS Boys Varsity 9:50. Awards will be at 1:00 following all the remaining races. Be there no later than 8:30.
Remaining squad will be at Huntington Catholic. Meet is at Memorial Park in Huntington. Be there at 10:00. Race schedule: Girls Varsity 11:00, Boys Varsity 11:30, Girls JV 12:00, Boys JV 12:30.

2011 Cross Country Season
Cardegle Cross Country first meeting and practice will be August 8th, 5:00 p.m. at Shoaff Park by the baseball field. Open to boys and girls grades 5 thru 8. Come prepared to run. Please make sure you have your school physical to participate. Meanwhile, summer conditioning runs continue every Monday and Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. at Kreager Park.
Heat Wave!! Be sure to drink plenty of fluids (water, gatorade, sports drinks, etc.) during this heat wave before and after practice. We’ll try to keep the runs shorter and in the shade as much as possible.

Summer conditioning runs for current and potential Cardegle cross country runners will begin July 6th and continue Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5:00 – 6:00p.m at Kreager Park. Open to 5th thru 8th grade boys and girls. Parent participation is welcome and encouraged. Participation is voluntary and emphasis is on building fitness and having fun. Should have school physical. For more information call coach Dan Kaufman 485-5241.
