Tim competed in cross country and track at Bishop Dwenger, becoming in high school a top distance runner in northern Indiana, and then went on to Purdue University, West Lafayette where, beginning as a freshman he competed at the varsity level in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.  At Purdue Tim competed in the 8,000 and 10,000 meter cross country distances and in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter track distances, winning varsity letters in each.  He was a member of a 1976 world record setting 24 hour relay team and won the AAU National 18 and under 30 kilometer championship in Chicago.  Tim has remained a distance runner throughout his life and continues to run as the body permits.

Tim is married to Rose and has one son, Jason, with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  He graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. Biomedical Engineering and is currently retired but taking part in various volunteering activities.  Tim is committed to our Catholic Faith, and is happy to represent Our Lady of Good Hope Parish on the coaching staff.  He is thankful to be a coach and mentor for our Cardegle athletes, and help each one experience the discipline, exhilaration, and joy of running.
