Dwenger Summer Conditioning Schedule

Below is BD’s CC summer conditioning schedule.  If any 7th or 8th graders wish to participate they may do so.   Please note you must have a physical.

The Cardegles will start there summer runs Monday July 10th at Shoaff Park.

  • Dwenger – meet outside the SAC doors
  • Shoaff Park – meet at the pavilion near the baseball field
  • The Plex – meet in the first parking on the right once you enter The Plex
  • Franke Park – meet in the parking lot next to the main pavilion (will be led by the upperclassmen; coaches may or may not be present)
  • Dupont YMCA – meet by the playground on the left once you enter
  • IPFW – meet in the parking lot across from the tennis courts

 

Mon-Fri                 Practice begins at 7:30am and ends between 9:15 – 9:30 am

*The on your own practices will be led by the upperclassmen of each gender. If parents don’t feel comfortable without a coach being there, have the athlete run on their own.
 

  • In case of inclement weather, a coach will meet at the location to make the decision whether to run or not. If you are unable to attend on a day with bad weather, please try to run on your own once the weather clears.

 

  • Moratorium weeks are July 3rd to July 9th and July 24th to July 30th. Athletes may meet on their own to run, but a coach cannot be present. Athletes cannot meet at Dwenger that week. If your parents do not want you to practice without a coach present, please run on your own. Practice times will be talked about before that week.

 

  • Every runner must have a completed IHSAA sports physical before starting conditioning with the team. We are going to encourage this before the season so we aren’t tracking physicals down last minute before the season starts.

 

  • Please make sure you have a proper pair of running shoes and a watch for summer conditioning. This is critical to injury prevention and will increase your enjoyment of the sport. We will have a team order at 3RRC in July for athletes to be properly fitted for shoe shoes and spikes for a discounted rate.
